Her journey as an artist commenced at a young age, taking a significant turn when she enrolled in her first painting class with the talented teacher and artist, Derys Lyttle, at Tucson Park and Recreation. Under Lyttle’s guidance, Andrea’s skills blossomed, and she discovered a preference for working within a bustling studio environment. Monday nights, spent honing her craft, became a highlight of her week. Over the years, Andrea has developed a unique artistic voice, setting her apart in the Arizona art scene. With over 90 paintings to her name, her artwork resonates with enthusiasts and collectors drawn to the allure of the Sonoran Desert.

Originally from the Czech Republic, Andrea’s journey led her to Arizona in 1993. Fueled by her passion for art and design, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Art from Northern Arizona University in 2003. Post-graduation, she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming an independent interior designer. In 2012, a significant milestone occurred when she co-founded Mar Designs, an Architectural and Interior Design Studio, with her husband Mariano. Their work garnered recognition through awards from prestigious organizations like the American Society of Interior Designers. The blend of artistic pursuits and a successful professional career has been an inspiring journey for Andrea. Relocating to Arizona in her twenties was a dream come true. Andrea thrives in the Sonoran Desert, living life with sincerity and passion while raising her two beautiful daughters.
